Karan Johar Blasts "Disgusting" Podcasts for Death Predictions and Sensationalism
Filmmaker and industry stallwart Karan Johar has criticized the growing trend of sensational podcasting, which condemns the use of harmful clickbat strategy for ideas.
Johar expressed his strong rejection of the shows that invite guests and astrologers to come up with derogatory and inflammatory claims about the characters of the Indian film industry. He particularly emphasized the deep insensitive practice of predicting predictions of the celebrity's imminent death, and called it a dangerous new one.
With emphasis on the harmful effects of such materials, Johar described these strategies as "disgusting" and encouraged to stop immediately for the trend. He claimed that taking advantage of negativity and personal attacks for traction is not only immoral, but also harmful to targeted individuals and also to society.
