Eetha moved from August to December
Kapoor fans will have to wait a
little longer for her next big-screen outing. Her next film Eetha which was
scheduled to release on 28th August 2026 has now been officially postponed. The
filmmakers announced the new theatrical release date of December 4, 2026.
For Shraddha Kapoor and director
Laxman Utekar, this is a special film. Both are coming back to the big screen
after delivering blockbuster hits of over Rs. 500 crore each - Shraddha with
Stree 2 and Utekar with Chhaava. Both the films have been produced by Dinesh
Vijan under his banner Maddock Films.
Makers Issue Official Statement
Maddock Films shared the update on social media with a new poster. The caption read, “Get ready for TOOFAN... because #EETHA is coming, 4th December! The announcement has created a stir among audiences who are excited to see Shraddha in another strong and author-backed role.
December Turns into a Lucky Slot for Big Releases
In recent years, the first week
of December has been a very successful window for big films. Animal, December
1, 2023 Pushpa 2, December 5, 2024 Dhurandhar, December 5, 2025. The three
films all did well at the box office, making the slot a hot commodity for
filmmakers. Eetha is eager to continue her winning streak.
Box Office Battle Brewing
But the journey may not be all plain sailing for Eetha. The movie is going to have a hard time in the box office. Prabhas’s much anticipated film Fauzi is scheduled to release on December 3, 2026. Eetha is not alone on the same day, two other big films have also been lined up – an untitled film starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Anees Bazmee and Ajay Devgn’s Ranger. It is yet to be seen if any of these movies will move their release dates to avoid a crowded clash.About the movie
Eetha is inspired from the amazing real-life story of Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar, popularly known as Tamasha queen. Shraddha Kapoor is joined by a strong supporting cast of Randeep Hooda, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub, Anant Joshi and Siddharth Jadhav in the film. This Maddock Films production has high expectations with a powerful real-life story and a talented ensemble.
