Globe-trotting production nears finish line
With just five months to go until its December launch, Shah Rukh
Khan’s much-awaited action mystery King is almost done with enormous worldwide
shooting Sources suggest that the best one big far-flung locations left is to
consider in August. Construction is currently spread between locations in the
United States and Latin America.
Scouting is underway for unused spots
A production team is actively scouting destinations for the rest of
director Siddharth Anand’s film. While nothing is formally locked down, the
group is currently within the United States, scouting locations and working out
logistics. They also expect to visit several South American countries before
making a final decision. If plans go as expected, the unit will move to a
selected area to complete shooting next month.
Shooting a big sequence in a fresh area
Most of the film is already finished. The upcoming international
event is set to take a particularly significant turn. According to a source,
Shah Rukh and Sidharth Anand were keen to find an unused location for this
unique part of the film, which ensured a scintillating visual backdrop for the
action extravaganza.
Star cast and release timeline
King teams up with Suhana Khan and works in an
ensemble consisting of Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji
and Arshad Warsi and the film is set to hit the theaters in December.
