Ajay Devgn takes direction in 'Ranger' climax
The actor steps behind the camera at the request of the director
Ajay Devgn, who has
admittedly enjoyed action movies for decades, is now putting his knowledge
behind the digital camera to use. The actor is reportedly directing the
climactic motion sequence for his upcoming adventure drama Ranger.
Repeat booked for a grand finale
Director Jagan Shakti had initially suggested Devgn and Sanjay
Dutt to film the climax. But feeling that the series wanted extra effects,
Shakti asked Devgn to direct the shoot again. The new climax will be shot at
Golden Tobacco Studios in Vile Parley with action director Kevin Kumar.
A high-octave jungle encounter
Sources reveal reshoots to make the finals bigger and more intense.
The museum is set in a huge jungle set and deals with the conflict between Datt’s,
the hunter and Devgn’s team of forest officials. The action portion includes
vehicle chases, gun battles, and hand-to-hand combat.
The film is nearing completion.
Ranger is about the Natural World Reserve, where Devgn gambles with
a forest leader who fights corruption and poaching. After the climax, the crew
will record a unique dance bundle that invites Tamannaah Bhatia to wrap up the
production formally.
