I Have a Huge Complaint With You": Amitabh Bachchan Calls Out
Preity Zinta on KBC
The meeting between Amitabh Bachchan and Preity Zinta on Kaun
Banega millionaire turned into a hilarious exchange, with the host publicly
criticizing Jana Janmaja. Zinta, who was present to promote their historical
drama Batwara 1947 with Sunny Deol, observed
herself during Bachchan fake-hatred reception-giving up on his unresponsive
texting behavior .
It’s a delayed reaction.
In the newly released promo, Bachchan did not hide it. “I have a
big complaint with you too,” he told Zinta. “I wish you a happy birthday on
January 31st every year, and you haven’t responded to me once.”
Without missing a beat, zinta responded with his signature
cheekiness, admitting, “No, Amit ji, I always give you feedback… but after
every week.” Bachchan then pulled out a vintage social media post to show his
words, where he had written, “Pretty Zinta wherever you are considering
you refused to reply to my text…ha ha…very contented birthday…love and
happiness.”
The light-hearted alternative studio made the audience gasp and
showcased the warm relationship between the two stars, who have collaborated in
the past in films like Mohabbatein, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and The Last
Lear.
Contribution to historical epic
Vinod provided a second of relief to go further on the campaign for
more intense action. Zinta and Sunny Deol appeared to be at the
screening to discuss Batwara 1947, a historical drama set against the
devastating backdrop of the partition of India. The film aims to explore the
deep human toll of one of the most defining events in recordkeeping in the
United States.
Directed with the help of Rajkumar Santoshi and produced with Aamir
Khan, the project marks another huge collaboration for the director and
Deol, who have previously helmed critically acclaimed hits like Ghayal, Damini
and Ghatak: Lethal.
Zinta returns to the screen
For Preity Zinta, Batwara 1947 marks a significant return to Hindi cinema. She is making a complete comeback to Hindi film roles after a hiatus of several years. Her last notable appearance on the big screen was within the 2018 film Bhaiji Superhit, featuring Sunny Deol as an extra. Separately, Zinta recently made headlines for lashing out at a paparazzi who claimed to have mistaken Aamir Khan on the set of a very similar film.
