Bandar Trailer: Anurag Kashyap defends wrongly accused men in Bobby Deol led drama
Bobby Deol
plays a star trapped through fake rape allegations
Just months after Anubhuti Kashyap's controversial #MeToo drama
Accused , her brother Anurag Kashyap is set to reveal his personal take on the
problems with Bandar. The trailer dropped on Thursday, May 21, giving us a
clean look at the film’s polarizing premise.
Plot Overview:
A Dating App Encounter That Turns Deadly
Bobby Deol plays Summer Mehra, a dull TV star who openly embraces
her quirky personality. Describing each as a “very good man” or a “terrible man
or woman,” Summer’s lifestyle unfolds on a dating app after meeting a woman
(played by Sapna Pabby Marg) The famous trailer wrongly accuses Sapna’s
character of rape, blackmail and harassment while insisting on his innoc.
Police
interrogations and the justice system fail
In one extreme scene, police question Summer, scroll through his
personal messages and accuse him of soliciting nude photos of younger women.
Summer labels her accuser a “stalker,” and is seen going to jail anyway. A
caption within the trailer reads, “Justice Swipes Left,” hinting at a story
about a character failed by the prison machine. He tells the lawyer (made using
Sanya Malhotra) repeatedly, “I am innocent”.
