Avengers: Doomsday trailer revealed:
The threat of Doctor Doom and a legendary return sets the stage for the MCU's next epic
However, as Thor realizes the gravity of the situation, the tone changes dramatically. In an unprecedented display of vulnerability, Torugud acknowledges that the conflict ahead may be much extra dangerous than anything he has encountered before, and subtly reveals a sense of dread that indicates the Avengers have no chances of being chosen.
Teasing several fan-favorite heroes at some
point during its runtime, the trailer ends with an electrifying over-awareness
with Chris Evans returning as Steve Rogers, the other proving his mettle by
spending time wielding Mjölnir.
The heroes of the three universes fight
The trailer
establishes that the stakes of this installment extend well beyond the
unmarried timeline. The film brings together heroes from three wonderful
universes – Earth-616, Earth-828, and the original X-Men universe – that pits
them against a deadly collision with an existential threat unlike anything
they’ve ever faced.
The inclusion of several X-Men characters along with
Nightcrawler and Magneto tease it extra strongly suggests the return of the
Fantastic Four, Shang-Chi, Black Panther, Ant-Man, and the New Avengers,
additionally known as Thunder.
The film’s place in the MCU and the creative team
Avengers: Doomsday is
about to become the 39th film in the Marvel universe. The project is directed
by veteran duo Anthony and Joe Russo, and the script is written using Michael
Waldron and Stephen McFeely. The film will be a pivotal part of the MCU’s Phase
Six narrative arc, and its direct sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, which is
currently expected to be released on December 17, 2027, just 12 months
later.

Apart from the
iconic leads, the film features an expansive ensemble cast that spans the
entire history of the MCU and beyond.
