Have you heard of it? Deepika Padukone could be a modern twist in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra 2 . The film will serve as a sequel to the first part of Brahmastra Shiva.

Ranbir Kapoor will reprise his role as Shiva and Dev in the sequel and is expected to finish filming Ramayana: Part 2 and start shooting in April 2027. Alia Bhatt will also return as Isha while Deepika’s casting is yet to be completed.

 

A gathering for the ages

If Deepika comes on board, the cast could reunite Deepika and Ranbir in the performance after seeing that spectacle (2015) for the first time. Their on-screen journey shown has spanned more than a decade, evolving from romance to partnership from wheel to life.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor has reportedly walked away from the Indian version of Freaky Friday (2003). The reasons for his departure are still uncertain, but the event is now being revamped as producers search for a suitable alternative.
