Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have made London their home, choosing a much quieter existence in the extreme public interest experienced in India. The celebrity couple, who are among the few recognizable faces within us, have decided to move base to the UK in pursuit of a more peaceful life

 

Dr. Sriram recalls a revealing conversation.

In 2025, Madhuri Dixit’s husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, an interview with Anushka on why the couple wanted to raise their young ones away from the fixed limelight. In an interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Dr nene spoke.

 

"He's just a decent person".

Shriram said, "I also know a few (for him). We have met him many times; he is just a decent person." He then shared details of a memorable conversation with Anushka that highlighted the couple’s decision to move.

 

The Struggle to Enjoy Happiness in India.

Dr Nene said: "We had a verbal exchange with Anushka in the future and it turned out to be very exciting. They were thinking of moving to London because they can't enjoy their fulfillment (here). And we acknowledge whatever they are going through because whatever they do attracts attention."

He went on to explain that the static attention surrounding a celebrity couple can make it hard to navigate even the best casual moments.

 

Constant onslaught of attention

"I get the chance with someone; I'm a bindass. But even then it gets challenging. It's almost a selfie moment. Not terribly, but there comes a time when it gets aggressive when you're at dinner or lunch, and you have to be pretty polite about it. But for the cage company, this is difficult to do. (Anushka and Virat) are lovely people and that they just need to raise their children in general."

 

A New Life in London.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have now shifted base to London with their kids Vamika and Akaay. The group of relatives has been photographed several times in the city enjoying a noticeably quieter and extra personal existence far from their relentless efforts in India.
