Exactly 19 years after releasing the cult-traditional Awrapan in 2007, Vishesh Films has officially dropped the much-awaited teaser of its sequel Awrapan 2.
 

A psychological cinematic experience

Awarapan 2 promises have been waiting for a long time for lovers to go back to the soul-crushing cinematic pleasure. Produced by Vishesh Bhatt and directed by Nitin Kakkar, the ambition of this sequel is to revive the soulful, moving, haunting musical legacy that defined the exceptional masterpiece The story follows a character steeped in grief and searching for refuge the pre-journey. The teaser, to be called Shivam himself in the voice of Emraan Hashmi, gives a deep non-public glimpse into his mind, making each moment last long after it ends.

A deep dive into darkness and sadness.

The short and intense teaser takes a gritty, rain-soaked global dive into Shivam Pandit. It begins with Emraan Hashmi cycling through a dark road chasing camels as his heavy voice expresses the familiar, “(Kuch Logo ki kahaniya unki marji se khatam nahi hoti … unki kahani, dusro liye likhi jaati hai .)”.

 

Shivam is then seen honoring Alia hamid’s picture. As he says, "Dard se purana rishta hai mera" (I actually have an ancient dating with pain), the logo-new rendition of the mythical song Toh Phir Aao evokes within the historical past and the music composed through Gemini with lyrics through Saeed Qadri, now grieving. The teaser ends with Shivam saying, "Have you come a long way. (Iss baar yaa toh yeh awarapan khatam hoga ya fir main)," leaving fans in goosebumps reigniting the anticipation of Shivam Pandit's long-awaited comeback.

Ensemble Cast

Alongside Emraan Hashmi, the film has one of the most interesting ensemble casts of the year, starring Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles, along with Surender Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar.

Awrapan 2 is made with Vishesh Bhatt, directed through Nitin Kakkar and written through Bilal Siddiqui. The film will be released in theaters worldwide on August 14, 2026.
