Muzammil Ibrahim opens up about working with his childhood idol
Salman Khan in SVC63.
A dream come true on set
For actor Muzammil Ibrahim, there is perhaps no higher place than a
film set – and when that set belongs to a Salman Khan film, the joy becomes
nothing short of surreal. Ibrahim, who has a lead role in director Vamshi
Padipalli’s upcoming motion picture, tentatively titled SVC63, is living a
dream he never imagined could come true.
"I never imagined that I would get to work with him. When he
came here on the set, I turned around like 'Wow! I will be inside the same body
as Salman'," Ibrahim shared from the sets of the film for the enduring
phone call.
Lifelong fan struggles to find the words
For Ibrahim, the primary day of catching up with Khan has been
awe-inspiring, and his admiration for the celeb has become simply deeper with
each passing day. As a self-confessed fan, he admits to being completely
tongue-tied in Khan’s presence.
"I'm a loopy fan of Salman. So perfect that I can't even talk
when he's round. I burst from inside to tell him so many stories - for example,
how I tied a bandana like him, or how I can stream like him," he learned.
Landing role: Special Ops liaison
Getting a part in one of the most awaited films of 2027,
which also stars Nayanthara, is a huge milestone for Ibrahim. The actor says
his overall performance in the acclaimed anthology Special Ops is the turning
factor that helped him bag the project.
I think Special Ops has been
a big trigger; my paintings in the exhibition have changed admirably, and
people have taken notice,” he said.
Working with Nayantara: A Growing Honor
Ibrahim also talked about sharing the performance space with South
Indian film sensation Nayantara. Having stuck to several previously overlooked
Southern films, he showed a deep appreciation for his equally great name.
"I actually despised [watching] such South films. So, I stuck
with some of them. Nayantara is great. You recognize the artist extra when you
know them through my eyes," he concluded.
